Angelo Guevara-Malavé is a writer-director-editor whose work spans narrative films, music videos, and marketing projects, creating experiences that are visually bold, immersive, and crafted to leave a lasting impression.
From the first concept of a screenplay to the final cut, Angelo shepherds projects through every stage of production. He develops stories, directs on set, and oversees post-production with teams of artists and craftspeople, fostering an environment where collaborators can bring their full creativity to the work. His projects range from directing music videos for emerging artists to producing climate action films for Generation180, created as part of the Climate Cultura fellowship, a program that brings artists together to confront urgent issues while inspiring change.
In post-production, Angelo has shaped the weekly Snapchat series The Rundown, co-produced by him, and led editing and color grading on "SLAVER" by M.O.S.T., a documentary series exploring human trafficking and the resilience of the women affected. He has also guided post-production for major brands including T-Mobile, Invisalign, Realtor.com, and Choice Hotels, ensuring each project achieves both visual and emotional impact.
At the helm of GUMA, his production company, Angelo blends storytelling, visual experimentation, and purpose-driven design to craft work that resonates on multiple levels. Based in Atlanta, he works wherever curiosity and collaboration lead.
