International movement artist unearthing stories of transformation, grief, identity, curiosity, and wonder through exploring body shape and movement in unexpected spaces.
Cheyenne Rodriguez (she/they) is a Puerto Rican movement artist with ten years of experience performing professionally as a dancer, actress, and model on screens, stages, and unconventional venues across the world. In 2024, Cheyenne was recruited for the development of a major Amazon Studios Television pilot, during which she consulted, choreographed, and performed on the project. Their work within the music industry has led to notable performances including the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show and collaborations on music videos with independent artists such as GroupLove and Sage X Price, which have amassed over 300K views combined. Her personal art traverses themes of curiosity, grief, identity, and transformation, engaging the mind and body as both subject and canvas through the intersection of film, photography, music, technology, and unconventional performance spaces. As a selected 2023 Artist in Residence for Les Muses Enchantées, Cheyenne studied dance on film and photography in Normandy, France, and created original works navigating identity and movement after injury. She then choreographed and directed her first solo dance film on the cliffs of Vicentine Coast Natural Park in Sagres, Portugal shortly after. Cheyenne began her dance journey on the football field as a Colorguard performer, and was awarded a Bronze medal for their finals performance in a national tour with Carolina Crown in 2017. Their work in the marching arts has led to appearances in Disney+ and Apple TV projects. Her commercial work can be seen in hair campaigns for Victoria Schrager x BTC University and ads for Twisted Tea. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Georgia State University and provides nervous system wellness coaching to other artists and creative entrepreneurs through her business Wonderland Coaching. Their nonprofit, "Transformation Artists", is currently in development. They continue to perform in theatrical productions throughout the southeast of America.
