Daisy Pareja
Daisy crossed over from CNN news to entertainment in Film/TV in 2010. She has evolved from actress to filmmaker & co-founded Actors Army in 2020. She was Finalist CSA 2023 Open Call Latinx nationwide.
Daisy was also in various short films, including Guest With Benefits, Hispanic Actor, Tomorrow is Waiting and was executive producer for various indie films. In addition, she’s done numerous commercials, print jobs, voiceovers and industrials.
Originally from Bolivia, Daisy co-founded Actors Army during the pandemic alongside actress Andrea Fernandez. It's a community of working actors and filmmakers from Atlanta to New York who produce their own films. They hosted two film festivals in 2022, where they showcased various shorts and premiered two films of their films. In 2024 the short she wrote, Guest With Benefits premiered in Atlanta and was screened in various film festivals, her role earned her a best actress award.
She started as a TV news reporter in San Francisco, California, eventually she moved to Atlanta to be a news producer for CNN En Español. Then, in a twist of fate, due to tax incentives "Hollywood moved to Georgia", so she crossed-over to acting full-time and constantly trains in the craft. She also works with her dialect coach and mentor, Susan Shalhoub Larkin, on a regular basis.
In the summer of 2023, she had her theater debut playing Carmen in Real Women Have Curves working under the direction of Brenda Porter.
