Taino C

Taino C is a rising bilingual Puerto Rican poet based in Atlanta, Georgia

Taino C started his journey in 2023 when he performed his first poem at a Hispanic Heritage Month Talent Show, winning second place marking the beginning of his passion for poetry and expression. Originally from Carolina, Puerto Rico, he grew up surrounded by the sounds of reggaeton, latin rock, bomba, and latin rap. After moving to the States as a military child, those influences stayed with him, inspiring the things present in his work today. Now based in Atlanta, Georgia, Taino C mixes nostalgia, street energy, and island vibes into a style that is his own. In September 2025, he expanded his poetic work with a live performance at the “Seguimos Aquí” Puerto Rican Art Show in Underground Atlanta. His poetry has a variety of themes like identity, romance, resistance, culture, social issues, and personal transformation. He continues expanding his presence, developing new projects, and using his art to honor his culture, inspire others, and leave a meaningful impact on the community.
