Join illustrator and animator Maite Nazario for Self-Portraiture and Rediscovery, a free hands-on workshop that invites participants to slow down, look inward, and reimagine their own image through drawing. Using traditional and digital tools, Maite will guide attendees in reconnecting with self-image as an act of care and creative ownership. Please bring your drawing tablet or digital tools if you have them; paper, markers, and colored pencils will be provided. This workshop expands on Maite’s ongoing residency at the Public Art Futures Lab with MARTA Artbound, where they are creating a series of animations that transform community-submitted writings into vibrant visual narratives. Their project explores how public art can amplify unseen voices and reframe urban spaces as sites of shared cultural storytelling.
